Dean's Message

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan

In implementation of the scientific plan of the College of Law for the 2025–2026 academic year, the college held a seminar on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, titled "Legislation Governing Parliamentary Elections: Between Reality and Aspiration," at 10:30 AM in the Ibn Sina Hall.
The session was moderated by Professor Dr. Nabil Abdul Shuaibeth, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, while the lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Karim Lafta Mashari, a faculty member at the College of Law. He discussed the reality of electoral legislation in Iraq and the prospects for its development in line with the principles of justice and democracy.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Mohsen Al-Qazwini, Head of the Founding Body, and Professor Dr. Basem Alwan Al-Oqabi, Assistant University President for Administrative Affairs, alongside a number of the college's faculty members and students.
At the conclusion of the event, the Head of the Founding Body presented the Creativity Shield to Professor Dr. Hassan Hantoush Rashid, Dean of the College of Law, in appreciation of adopting one of his publications as a supplementary teaching curriculum in law schools, as an expression of the Founding Body's continuous support for the scientific journey and academic creativity.

About the College

The College of Law is considered one of the first colleges at Ahlulbait University since its establishment in 2003.
The duration of study is four years, and it grants students a Bachelor's degree in Law, qualifying graduates to practice law and provide legal consultancy in public and private sector institutions.
