Objectives
- Elevate the quality of scientific output and international publishing in reputable repositories and databases.
- Support scientific research, innovation, research projects, and research funding.
- Develop the university’s scientific journals and scholarly outputs, and enhance their international presence and indexing.
- Build a collaborative research environment through interdisciplinary research and joint projects locally and internationally.
- Develop data and scientific activity management, and employ digital tools and artificial intelligence to support researchers.
Key Tasks
- Monitor and evaluate the scientific and research activity of colleges and departments, and follow up on the implementation of the scientific plan.
- Support researchers in scientific publishing, funding, partnerships, and research and innovation projects.
- Monitor and develop scientific journals, and fulfill indexing requirements and upgrade their international standing.
- Organize and monitor conferences, seminars, and scientific events, and document scholarly outputs and patents.
- Build and update databases of researchers, research, activities, and scientific outputs.
- Prepare scientific reports and indicators, and support requirements for rankings and accreditations.
- Enhance local and international research cooperation, and monitor joint research and projects.
